Telkomsel has officially get an additional 5 MHz frequency in 2.1 GHz band. Addition frequency was stated in Minister Decision No. 268/KEP/M.Kominfo/9/2009, dated 1 September 2009.With the addition of this frequency, Telkomsel now have a frequency of 10 MHz band or 2.1 GHz frequency is known as 3G. With increasing frequency, Telkomsel to increase network capacity owned.
More than just adding capacity, Telkomsel also with the continuing evolution of the technology roadmap to HSPA and HSPA +. With the new service, customers can enjoy access speeds up to 21 Mbps.
New services are using additional frequencies. Telkomsel itself decide the new 5 MHz frequency allocated to support HSPA +-based services. New service called Next Generation Flash.
In the early stages of new service can be enjoyed by Halo postpaid customer. However Kartu As and Simpati customers can also enjoy this service, but not so high speed when using kartuHALO. For this service Telkomsel charges Rp. 5/kb.
