Telecommunications equipment company based in China, ZTE Corporation, announced the increase in operating income for this year. Through a press release, the company said the increase was nearly reached 11 percent, precisely 10.89 per cent per year or U.S. $ 4.524 billion.
For the first time, the contribution of ZTE's revenue from European and American market reached 18 percent of total revenues. The contribution of income from year to year, from both this market also increased by 45 percent.
Based on the Hong Kong financial reporting standards, the company's net profit grew by 12.02 percent, or to U.S. $ 129.143 million in six months, ending on June 30, 2010. Basic income per share is calculated at U.S. $ 0.047.
